The lovely Shannon and Kyle met at a wedding I photographed back in March 2009! Shannon was a bridesmaid and Kyle was a groomsman. These two were married in the Los Angeles LDS Temple and had their reception later that evening in Canyon Country, CA (about an hour drive east of LA). They had their reception in an LDS stake center and they made it look incredible. Such a simple and pretty wedding ....

[ And the winner is ... ]
Earlier this month I began a destination photography giveaway. The terms were simple: enter if you're getting married outside of Utah. Let me tell you a little bit about who won my giveaway!
Bride: Sara Wolfram
Groom Mark Allen
Wedding Date: Sunday, September 19th, 2010
Rehearsal Dinner Location: Tra Vigne Pizzeria, Napa Valley, CA
Ceremony Location: Hans Fahden Winery in Napa Valley, CA
Sara and Mark had their first date at a winery so their wedding day is centered around some of the most amazing wine in the world (Grgich, Duckhorn, Frank Family, etc)! The theme to their wedding is a wine-pairing rustic Napa wedding! The dinner will take place in a wine cave and each table will be grouped according to different wineries ... the guests will drink that particular winery's wine only! Two meals will be served, one that pairs with a red wine and one that pairs with a white wine.
Be looking forward to this wedding in late September! I know I seriously can't wait for it. I've already booked my flight so it's seriously happening!

[ Murray Dozen ]
Murray Resinski is the creator of the Murray Dozen - 11 nutritiously dense vegan muffins ... 11 because he personally taste-tests every single batch to make sure you're getting the best! I've tried pretty much all his amazing concoctions and I have to say they're incredible. His prices are low ... about $17ish for a Murray Dozen if you live outside of Utah (that turns out to be $1.60 a muffin AND it includes shipping). If you live in-state, you're looking to pay only $12 for a Murray Dozen! Click HERE to see his website (website is under construction).
A few of his muffins:
- Spicy Cornbread
- Almond Anise
- Chocolate Chip Surprise
- Pumpkin Pecan Apricot Spice
- Lemon Poppyseed
- Blueberry

[ beautiful bride ]
This weekend was a blast! Collette was an incredibly beautiful bride and she braved a temperamental weather day. One minute it was snowing, then windy and snowing, then bright sunshine and blue skies! Lucky for me I was able to capture Collette and Steve in all those changes and it turned out so much fun.
Here are two photos I fell in love with as I shot this series ....

[ Shabby Apple - Heidi Blackham ]
Shabby Apple asked me to photograph a few of their dresses and Heidi was the model for the day. Heidi was so much fun and the dresses were oh so cute! If you like their dresses (and you should ... ), go check them out HERE.

[ A missionary portrait ]
This cute girl, Erin Wetzel, is serving her mission for the LDS church. I want to say she's going to Guatemala ... maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, I photographed her head-shot for her missionary plaque. Good luck Erin!
