Instead of bikram yoga, Meredith and I went to her house and listened to Kanye and talked about the perils of facebook. While we talked, I discreetly photographed this little something in her house that I have always loved.
Thank you for (1) giving me an opportunity to photography something darling on my anthro cake plate, and (2) making cupcakes that are so sweet that I developed fourteen new cavities after eating just one.
I felt like going to Ventura to walk around Main Street for lunch and shopping and Paul and Jason were nice enough to follow along. We hit up some fun shops, like Sassy Sally's and then Anacapa Brewing Company for lunch. After the shopping the three of us headed to the beach to check out the tide pools. Jason found a sea anemone and Paul found a tiny hermit crab.
Below are random shots of Jason and Paul. They look so cute, but Paul's wink is kinda creepy.
Jason and I found a lovely "abandoned" barn. And by abandoned, I mean totally occupied by two cows. It's just a barn that's not well taken care of (see first image below for collapsed roof). We also took some awesomely funny jumping pictures in front of a colorful church, which is to come when Jason hands over the files to me. Don't keep them hostage Jason! I know where you live.....
Um, you NEED to eat here at this place! It's totally luxurious with their kraft cheese and oscar meyer ham sandwich. Oh my.....but seriously, it's really cute. It's now called Jalama Beach Cafe, but the sign is still up because it's apparently a landmark in Lompoc (pronounced Lahm-poke). Oh, and this guy you see here is Jason Messick, who is my nifty sidekick these days.
I know I just posted a picture of Claire's feet, but here are just a couple more from my afternoon with my niece. She has a funny hairline, kinda like a balding old man, but she is darling.
Meredith and her Becker....true love. Her board is practically all she can talk about! Now somebody, PLEASE go surf those waves with her!! Only requirement is that you look uglier than she does cause she can't have anybody cramping her style.
